Abstract Submission

It is expected that the abstract will include original data that were not previously published in a peer-review journal or the proceedings of a large national meeting.

Abstracts do not have to fit within the topics of the plenary sessions to be accepted for presentation.

Abstract submission closes on April 30, 2008.
In order to be considered for an oral presentation, abstracts should be submitted before April 1, 2008.
It is understood that abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be presented as a poster. Receipt of abstracts will be confirmed by e-mail latest by May 1st, 2008. If you have not received a confirmation by that date, please contact Prof. Michael Maragoudakis (maragoud@med.upatras.gr)

Acceptance of abstracts  for oral presentation will be announced by May 10, 2008.
The Conference Chairpersons/Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) will evaluate the scientific quality of the submitted abstracts on the basis of the following criteria: novelty of the research, significance of the findings and clarity. Authors should be particularly cognizant of the importance of setting forth the objectives and hypotheses of the study in a clear, succinct manner and of summarizing the new, unpublished results. If the abstract is poorly written such that the reviewers cannot determine its novelty and importance, it cannot be accepted for presentation. The Conference Chairpersons/SAC have the right of the final decision on all abstract presentations. Only those abstracts that have been reviewed and accepted will be presented.

Accepted abstracts will be published in a hard-copy volume to be distributed at the meeting, if the presenting author is registered for the meeting. Each registration can support the submission of only one abstract.
